Catholic Archdiocese of Accra Finally Receives its Ambulance!

The Ambulance was received repainted and is now in operation serving several communities!

The Chief  Shepherd, Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie, CSSp,  received the donation at a short ceremony in the early hours of  Thursday, 30 December 2021 at his residence in Osu, Accra. While donating the ambulance on behalf of the International Help of Missionaries-(IHM), Rev Fr. Cletus Forson said the gesture is in the right direction for it will serve, Korledor, IHM Clinic, and Battor Hospital. “In the years ahead we hope to make such donations to help in the process of health care delivery in the diocese ” He passionately stated.

Fr. Forson expressed gratitude to all who donated towards the purchase of the ambulance then officially presented the keys of the ambulance to Archbishop Kwofie.Archbishop Kwofie, full of gratitude while receiving the keys to the ambulance said (IHM) during the Covid crises hugely supported the Archdiocese of Accra, for which he was grateful. He then handed over the key to Rev. Fr. Peter Hessey. 

Fr. Hessey said the gesture has come at a time when Archbishop Kwofie is on a quest to improve health care delivery, especially in the Archdiocese of Accra. He assured Fr. Forson that the Archdiocese will respect the donor’s intention and that the ambulance will be well maintained.

Financial Director of the Archdiocese of Accra, Very Rev. Fr. John Neumann Tettehfio reiterated the continuous support given to the Archdiocese by the IHM with reference to the Covid 19 lockdown last year hence was able to respond to the needs of the vulnerable and homeless. A short prayer was said to bless the ambulance to work efficiently and effectively.
