The name of the village is Senase, which is about 6 miles from Berekum. Ben went to Ghana in 2009 with money he and his wife, Barbara, had raised from his parish, St Gregory Barbarigo's, in Garnerville, New York. They sucessfully had 2 water wells dug, of which this is the second. This well serves the occupants of the village and the school, between 4,000 and 5,000 people. It was quite a celebration! The first well he dug was in Adom, New Town, which was also near a school and village, and is now serving at least 4,000 adults and children. Now they don't have to walk 4 miles to the nearest stream to get water. Way to go Ben and Barbara!
