IHM Support for Education & Self-Development

IHM Supporting growth and development of indivduals creating a brighter future and one of hope and success!

Veneranda Nyarko, MD is currently a senior resident in the Department of Anatomic Pathology at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital. "I completed my junior residency in 2022 with the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons, specializing in Anatomic Pathology after three years of training. I have been practicing pathology for the past six years and now advancing through my Senior Residency. IHM has been supportive throughout my medical education. Special thanks to Rev. Cletus Forson and the president of IHM, Mr. Donald Magnotta. Sincerest gratitude to the donors IHM."

The need for clinician researchers in molecular pathology in Africa is immense. I have been involved in several research projects in Ghana with the support of my mentor and through the generosity of IHM, was able to attend the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathologists Conference in March 2024 in Baltimore, the American Association for Cancer Research conference in San Diego in April 2024 and the International Association of Pathologists (IAP) Congress in Cancun, Mexico, in October 2024. There are about 50 Pathologists in Ghana; and even fewer clinician researchers.
